I have been building websites since 2006.
I started out by spending $8,000.00 to learn all the in’s and out’s of the internet business. This has allowed me to establish myself as somewhat of a guru in the local market. There were times that I felt I got swindled, but in the end, all is well. I certainly would not be where I am without that initial investment.
I grew up on a 7 acre farm in Pennsylvania. This may not seem important, but let me show you how it helped.
On this farm, we raised fruits, nuts, flowers and vegetables that we sold some of the locals. Our largest farm business was raising and processing rabbits for use in the local restaurants. These enterprises taught me the meaning of hard work, and the necessity of doing things even if we don’t feel like it.
A few live lessons learned:
- It’s better to do the job right the first time. (It is sure a pain to have to go back and redo things – it’s a waste of time and often quite embarrassing).
- Honesty is the best policy.
- Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Think this doesn’t have anything to do with business? – Think again!
- Rich people aren’t mean, they are just busy making and defending their fortunes. – Most are actually very friendly as friendlyness goes a long way in dealing with people, the main end source of wealth.
